Stability & Reliability

Robertson HYETTS has a long history in Bendigo, with a reputation for stability and reliability.

The firm began when Barkly Hyett joined John Phillip Motteram's practice on the Bendigo goldfields in 1882. Successive generations of Hyetts continued in the business until Barkly's grandson John, retired as a consultant in 2002.

The firm is proudly cemented in Bendigo's history, not least due to the fact Sir John Quick, who helped draft the Federal Constitution, was once a partner.

With the acquisition of Castlemaine firm LMSW Lawyers (Lawsons McDonald Scott Waters) on 1 February 2011 Robertson HYETTS has consolidated its position as a strong full service firm offering depth of expertise, value and personalised service. LMSW Lawyers has its history firmly grounded in the Castlemaine district. One of its original partners Harry Sutherland Wrightman Lawson was a member of the Victorian Parliament and then Premier of Victoria.

The current partners, Andrew Pickles, Tim Robertson and Janelle Brown, embrace their local heritage and maintain the firm's strong relationships with some of the regions oldest and largest institutions.

We have a strong and supportive group of staff members, who assist us in carrying out our duties to our clients.

Robertson HYETTS is always looking for talented people to join our team - please see our Careers section for more information.
