Conveyancing
Buying
Buying your home is undoubtedly the most significant purchase that the average person makes during his or her lifetime. For most people it involves a major, long term financial commitment so it is important to get things right first time.
- You should not sign the Contract of Sale until you have had one of our experienced legal staff look over it with you.
- We can advise you about the legal aspects of the contract and consider how they affect your individual situation. It may be necessary to change or include new provisions to the contract.
Getting the document right means that you have a smooth transaction and peace of mind. We will give you detailed advice about all the documents and guide you through each step of the process.
When acting for a buyer, our aim is to ensure:
- That the purchaser obtains a good title to the property upon which the home or building is erected;
- That the property is free of charges, liens and other competing interests; and
- That the use of the premises is not unduly restricted by the relevant statutes (zoning etc).
