Epsom is a growing suburb of Bendigo

Epsom is a northern suburb of Bendigo, seven kilometres from the city centre (eight minutes drive) up the Midland Highway. At the 2016 Census the population was recorded at just over four thousand with young families moving into the area as more housing is developed.

Once a gold mining district in the 1850s, it is now developing into an up and coming suburb with new estates and retail and trade outlets. The Bendigo Base hospital is around 10 minutes away and locally in Epsom, residents have access to a large medical centre with ample parking and dental clinic.

The relatively new railway station has regular train service to Bendigo and on to Melbourne, or north to Mildura, which makes this suburb a great central location for commuting out to work opportunities.

Epsom boasts a gym, cafes and take away outlets, plus a fresh bread bakery. Young families have access to local childcare, an early learning centre and primary school. Secondary Colleges, both public and private, and tertiary education both TAFE and La Trobe University are just down the road in Bendigo.

A large Bunnings store on the main highway and car sale yards are among the businesses lining the highway through Epsom. The Bendigo Racecourse is in nearby Ascot and Epsom boasts a golf course for the outdoors leisure seeker.

The NBN is available in this area catering for those working remotely within Victoria, interstate or overseas.

Epsom is famous for the heritage listed Bendigo Pottery which has been in operation for over 150 years and provides tourism, retail outlet and school holiday activities.

The median house price is $451,000 and the average rental is around $380 per week.
